There were two celebrities missing from Kim and Kanye’s blowout wedding in Italy: Jay Z and Beyoncé.
On the big day, Bey sent her blessings via Instagram, then she and Mr. Carter camped out in the Hamptons, instead of making the trip overseas. Of course there were lots of questions about why Kanye’s “Big Brother” didn’t attend, and Kris Jenner has the answers — sort of.
On Tuesday (June 10), the Kardashian matriarch addressed the issue in an interview with Australian radio station KIIS 106.5 FM. And by “addressed,” we mean that she wormed her way out of giving a straight answer, pretty skillfully.
“There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought,” Jenner claimed, via US Weekly. “If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone’s mind.”
“[I] just assumed they were working,” she added. Sure.
There was plenty of speculation that Jay and Bey were simply trying to keep a low profile after that elevator fight on the night of the MET Gala. Rachel Roy was rumored to be at the center of the drama, and the designer was definitely a guest at KimYe’s wedding.
“Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family,” Bey wrote to KimYe on Instagram, ahead of the wedding.
