When the national anthems are played before every World Cup match, an emotional charge goes through players and fans alike that fills the stadium with a palpable atmosphere that can be felt by viewers all over the world. So far in the 2014 World Cup, this has been most evident when the anthem for host nation Brazil is played. Before its match against Mexico, it was obvious that each player felt it to his core.
Neymar, sporting newly highlighted hair since the World Cup's opening match, was left in tears after he and his teammates joined arms and belted out their anthem with the fans in Fortaleza.
Teammate David Luiz, meanwhile, nearly jumped out of his skin as he shouted each word.
