Here Comes The iPhone 6

Many smartphone buyers are waiting for Apple’s iPhone 6 models to come out, the company’s first devices that will finally offer bigger displays. Well, the wait is almost over. Rumored to launch in September, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models will soon enter mass production, Reuters reports.

According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, cited by Reuters, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will enter mass production starting next week, while the 5.5-inch model will go to mass production almost a month later, during the second week of August.

The publication is also citing a report issued on Thursday by a China state-run news service, which said that Foxconn will hire 100,000 workers to meet Apple’s iPhone demands this year, which is in line with what unconfirmed reports said earlier this month.

Pegatron, the other iPhone 6 maker in the region, has also hired more than 10,000 additional workers to manufacture the new iPhone, as Apple is expected to sell up to 70 million iPhone 6 units this year.

26-yr-old Man Charged For Allegedly Hugging Baby To Death [Look]

26-year-old man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter more than a year after he hugged a 14-month-old child so tightly that the boy stopped
breathing and died, Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Wednesday.

Robert Kemp was taken into custody Tuesday and released on $10,000 bond the next day. Kemp is described as a family friend in a news release from Ravenell.

An arrest warrant said Kemp killed the child “by giving him a bear hug, squeezing the victim so tight that the victim stopped breathing as a result.”

FIFA Lifts Nigeria Ban

FIFA has lifted the ban it placed on Nigeria on July 9th after a high court sitting in Jos sacked the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari and other board members. FIFA had frowned at the court ruling, stating that the move was a government interference in football activities which is against its policy. FIFA then directed that a new court order reinstating Maigari and other NFF executives be obtained before it can lift the ban.

Fifa Suspends Nigeria from all Football

The world football governing body, FIFA, has suspended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with immediate effect. The suspension was announced in a statement on Wednesday evening.

FIFA said the suspension was due to government interference in football activities, particularly the controversial removal of the Aminu Maigari-led board of the NFF.
The suspension means no Nigerian team or club can participate in any FIFA competition.
“As a result of this decision, no team from Nigeria of any sort (including clubs) can have any international sporting contact (art. 14 par. 3 of the FIFA Statutes),” FIFA said.
